Railroad Ties

A standard tie is about  7″ x 9″ in diameter and saturated with a creosote (ATSDR fact sheet) preservative. Some have compression applied metal end plates that help contain splitting and twisting. We sell Grade “A” and “B” ties individually and in bundles of 25. Local delivery is available, please call us for a quote to your area.
A  9 foot railroad tie weighs approximately 120 lbs. A 9 foot bundle weighs about 3000 lbs.

"A" 8 FT
Good quality of used processed Landscape tie.
• 2-3 good, sound sides
• Solid, square ends
• Some cracking lines
• Solid and mostly straight
• In bundles of 25 or singles
"A" 9 FT
Good quality of used processed Landscape tie.
• 7" x 9" x 9' long and 120+ lbs
• 2-3 good, sound sides
• Minor cracking
• Some with compressed metal end plates to contain splitting
• Solid and most straight
• In bundles of 25 or singles
"AA" 9 FT SPECIAL SIZE
Better quality of used processed Landscape tie.
• 8" x !0" and 10" x 10" in diameter 9' long and 200+ lbs.
• 2-3 good, sound sides
• Solid ends
• Minor to some cracking
• Solid and mostly straight
• In bundles of 12 - 15 or singles
"B" 8-9 FT
Basic quality of used Landscape tie. These bundles are usually a mixed bag lengths of 8 - 9 feet.(Quantities of stock on hand vary)
• 1 or more good, sound sides
• Plate wear and hollowing
• Can have splits up to plate wear
• Lengths and quality can vary, no end plates
• Mostly straight and solid
